The Washington Redskins have signed return specialist Dominique Dorsey and journeyman kicker Dave Rayner.
Dorsey played for the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League the past two seasons, earning a spot on the all-star team and being named the league's most outstanding special teams player.
Rayner has been with seven NFL teams since the 2005 season. In 43 career games, he has converted 42-of-59 field goals.
Dorsey put up some spectacular numbers on special teams, scoring four touchdowns and accumulating at least 200 all-purpose yards in a game nine times last season.
The fourth Argonauts player to sign with an NFL club, Dorsey set club records for kick-off return yards in a season (1,257) and in one game (225).
"It was a tough decision to leave - I felt like I made a home for myself in Toronto and wanted to win a Grey Cup there badly," Dorsey said.
"I showcased my best abilities in Toronto but needed to pursue this opportunity in Washington at this point in my career."
